Died, Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at MediLodge Nursing Home in Taylor, MI. She was born on August 6, 1938, in Roanoke, Virginia, the daughter of Carl F. and Clara (Burnette) Gillespie. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and homemaker. She is survived by three sons: James (Dawn) Gillespie, Vaughan (Margaret) Gillespie and Charles (Lori) Dunbar; one sister: Lucy Butler; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael J. Dunbar and one brother, Carl E. Gillespie. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 2:00pm at Janowiak Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Carter of the Ypsilanti Assembly of God in Ypsilanti officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00pm until the time of service.
